2. Updates:
   • Any update: All
     • TSD: aim has been to simulate the original prototype lens. Recent progress has allowed a particular configuration of plasma to be used to reproduce the bulk of the features observed in the prototype exposure. This gives more confidence in the undertnading. Now moving towards update of the design of the new lens.
     • HTL: It has now been possible to transport particles generated with SMILIE down the stage 1 beam line. Now beginning to test a new paradigm for the generation of the 3D distribution. This involves transporting the beam in 4D to the entrance to the beam line, then generating a full 6D phase space distribution. The newly simulated beam is different to the ideal beam assumed for the pre-CDR. So a process of retuning the stage 1 beam line has begun.
     • WS: Continued (slow) progress in developing space-charge simulation of tracking using OPAL. Others at RHUL are now looking to develop faster external tracking for BDSIM. When developed this may allow space charge to be taken into account in BDSIM.

   • We now need to discuss how best to move forward. Too few people present to discuss. KL will try and seed discussion.
