     17 * KL and TN made a call earlier and discussed updates to the paper.  The update of the first three sections of the paper was agreed.  KL suggested TSD took part in the update as the background will be useful to him going forward.  TSD OK with this.

     21  Clear progress on understanding the evolution of the particle distributons.  There is a need to compare distributions to other simulations, published analyses, and/or measurements.  HT: is in contact with OE over details of the simulations.  \\
     22  Means to address the practical issue of injecting particles into the beam line were discussed.  HTL will look for a means of selecting particles likely to be transported at least as far as the first Gabor lens.  A thread to follow the particle distributions would then be started.  The particles not selected for transport down the beam line would then be analysed to see how they evolve and whether they have the potential to enter the Gabor lens.

     25 * Discharge simulation attempted with water.  No discharge observed assuming water vapor at 10^{-6}mBar.  Feeling was that the simulation of breakdown was quite a challenge.  And that there would likely be more profit in trying to simulate the old lens with the methods developed for the new lens.
     26 * In the discussion of the discharge-simulation we noted that the best vacuum was obtained once the plasma had been burning for a while.  We agreed we needed to ask TN what the procedure was to produce the discharge in the lens and, ideally, to have the record of pressure versus time.
