  • Simulations
    • MP - RL fpr nozzle , small reduction in transmission and divergence
    • TJK - thesis writing. Send fieldmap to JP for dynamic aperture studies.
    • JP - readdress dispersion issue in stage 1 arc. Track large amplitude particle but hard edged model. Investigate need for sextupoles. Beamoptics.
  • AOB
    • JP: CDR. Pg 8, five cavities is not correct. Eqn 2.1 units are not correct, should be mass & not energy. Beta0 equation wrong. Gabor lens injector for lens 1 & 2 is downstream, not upstream. Wien filter for velocity selection. Eqn 2.9 should be sigma p, text changed to momentum. Stage 2 operation beam aperture is fine, better reason is emittance issue. Markus ion chamber volume times 10-8, Fig. 21.6 replot with right axis for dispersion. 32. Remove emittance of ϵx,y = 99 m from page 35. 2.14 table to be removed, repaeting 2.12. Stage 2 dose estimation β= p/E, where p and E. The design of the FFA magnet requires the kicker magnet to bend the beam by 90◦, such a magnet is feasible is wrong.

Future studies will seek to reduce the required kicker-magnet bending angle by investigating alternative configurations of the injection line and locations for the injection septum. Table. 12.
