• Simulations
  • MP modelling transmission through PMQs at source at 15 MeV, using quad aperture instead of 2.87 mm radius nozzle.
  • KL showed slides on SCAPA results, star-like pattern originating from PMQ fields. Looking to model, questioned which code. TJK recommended OPERA or FEMM, CW recommended CST. WS recommended Stephen Brooks code as a baseline for OPERA/FEMM/CST comparisons in the good field region.
  • JP showed slides with results matching MP's results. Discussion on need for sextupoles in the arc. Question on the biology end station specifications, CW says 10% is being used at SCAPA, metric is different to ours, particularly considering 1D projection.

  • IPAC - include poplar? Pose to them if they do a separate contribution or include a 1-page teaser in a broader LhARA contribution.
  • JAIFest - TJK agreed to a remote talk.
