2. __Targets for proposals, update and review:__
 * EPSRC Programme grant; also outline stage proposal (no deadline):
  - Next "gathering" date 01Dec26.
  - Initial discussion will take place 16Oct26.  
  - Colleagues from Oslo University on board and wish to contribute to the plasma-lens/strong-focusing work package as this activity is in line with their goals.  To make the activity realistic require on staff year per year.  This is to be made up of student and post-doc as students in Norway are classed as employees.
 * EPSRC Collaborate with researchers in Norway (no closing date):
  - Will consider alongside development of programme grant.
 * EU MCSA:
   - Discussion with CNRS/Biologique and CNRS/Strassbourg positive. Will discuss with Y.Prezado and K.Parodi on 16Nov26.

 Representatives of all 4-nations identified.  Meeting (in two halves) will take place on 23Oct26.

 Writing tasks assigned.  Will follow progress in EB.

6. __ELIMED application, rejection, feedback and next steps:__ \\
 Discussion at last meeting of working group; agreed to make document to address concerns raised by reviewers.  Also agreed to make LhARA rbio plan and a review article looking at the state of the art and including beam properties.

7. __CP4CT workshop series:__
 * 11Sep26: Cylindrically symmetric strong focusing
  - Meeting was successful.  Now need to work on summarising it.
 * xxYYY27: Novel time-resolved and high-resolution imaging
  - KP and YP on board to help organise.

 * C.Jamieson: Advance Manufacturing Research centres are seen as having been successful (and could be how the government plans to direct resources to the regions) so finding routes to partner might be good. C.Whyte pointed out that the centres are also feeling the squeeze so it might not be easy to do.

 - Outreach Group met and have developed a 6-month plan which is being updated.  Planning round of shout-outs to institutes and flagging progress.  Planning to start with Strathclyde and success of SCAPA. 
 - RB: has proposed LhARA paper for PPCF IoP Journal; has been accepted.  We noted the invitation for a special issue that we had accepted.  Agreed that **KL and RB** would meet to discuss how to take these opportunities forward next week.
