    2526 * Discharge simulation attempted with water.  No discharge observed assuming water vapor at 10^{-6}mBar.  Feeling was that the simulation of breakdown was quite a challenge.  And that there would likely be more profit in trying to simulate the old lens with the methods developed for the new lens.
    2627 * In the discussion of the discharge-simulation we noted that the best vacuum was obtained once the plasma had been burning for a while.  We agreed we needed to ask TN what the procedure was to produce the discharge in the lens and, ideally, to have the record of pressure versus time.
