1. Introduction, notes and actions: CW/All
   • TN - Summary of progress on paper draft
     • Working with TD to incorporate recent results into paper
     • Recent meeting developed some output suitable for inclusion – final decisions with KL
     • Some evidence TD results may reproduce non-uniform intensity on rings – as seen in expt – worth further exploration but not at expense of delaying paper.
2. Updates on the particle generation: HT
   • Good progress on Smilei convergence testing – appropriate parameters now determined
   • Initial e temperature dependence simulations
     • Results broadly similar with increasing temperature
     • Trends are seen but peak energy dependence is not strong.
   • Tracking of 3D smeared particle distributions shows ‘unphysical’ features which cause further features downstream, however average beam charactersitics are not strongly influenced.
   • Beam tuning to account for new input parameter started – good improvements seen even though work is not complete.
3. Updates on simulation of "IC" lens: TSD
   • Introduce ‘electron beam’ almost tangential to electron cloud in lens to study potential to drive off axis plasma non-uniformity.
   • Fighting simulation instability with some success justifying further effort
   • Macro-particle management techniques (statistical merge/weighting) are available in Vsim, not tried yet, but may need to explore in future
