  • Update on the target chamber design.
• Simulations and prep for baseline update.

    • Rechecking 10cm drift from target in GPT.
    • Documenting the discrepancy between using screens and tout for GPT developers or other experts at Daresbury to investigate.
  • Discussion on procedure for updating the baseline.
    • CW: Process is to present at a collab meeting.
      • Next one in Sept.
    • NB: September seems too far away.
      • CW: Can instead present the proposal to the executive board and they will circulate with recommendations.
    • NB: when will the simulations be ready?
      • WS: probably around end of June.
  • AK: Will the FFA design change.
    • JP: Yes.
    • Discussion.
    • JP: Updates to the FFA design should not significantly affect the design of the beam line so the current 7 gabor lens design should still be valid.

  • Field map validation tests using the FETS FFA as an example.
  • Looking at a double spiral (i.e. spiral F/D doublet) design.
  • Discussion of differences between FETS FFA and the LhARA design.
