• Engineering
  • Update from CH
    • Schematic has been updated with new yoke design.
    • Need to address collisions with the injection region and where the injection line crosses the FFA beam pipe.
    • Meeting to discuss FFA issues scheduled for 16th July.
    • Discussion on how the yoke geometry can be modified to accommodate the injection septum.
    • Preference is to go with the previous version.
    • Modelling of the trim coils.
      • Detailing of the connections and manifolds.
  • JP: Need to update a drift length in the high energy transfer line design before finalising.
• Simulations
  • TJK:
    • Produced field map for JP to track.
    • Update on the power requirement 20kW for 1 half of the magnet.
  • WS:
    • Looking at using linear optics code beam.
    • Comparable to the SCAPA beam.
    • Looking the modelling the injection line in GPT.
    • KL: how long does generating the beam?
      • WS: Of the order of half an hour for 1e6 particles.
