• Simulations
  • MP still investigating nozzle modelling with PMQs. Will hope to present & summarise in a couple of weeks.
  • MP re-presented last weeks slide as JP & HO in attendance. HO circulated emittance compensation paper, WS will read through. Next steps are modelling with Gabor lens.
  • MMC asked a coupld of question on LharaLinearOptics; treatment of distribution after the target; and spectrum cut-off not matching previous plots. WS sent link to CDR to cross-check nozzle parameters.
    • WS to ask KL aboun server access.
  • TJK circulated field map raised last week.
  • JP mentioned positive feedback from discussions with Japanese colleages on FFA magnet field & MA cavities:
    • Good case for using MA cavities
    • 100 Gauss limit for field leakage came from experimetal experience.
    • Should explore the opportunity with RAL to measure MA cavity impedance in proximity to FFA magnet prototype.
  • JP asked MP to send the distribution of a 1cm beam entering the arc.

  • CW asked on CDR citing, will be published on EPUBS. HO will create a record for CW needs.
  • HO asked on WP6 work & objectives; MP to model stage 1 start to end; MMP to improve injection line understanding to feed into later FFA studies. Other activities limited due to funding.
