- Hardware discussion:
Further exploration of motorised mounting- rough prices from R.G, plans to try reduce the price & if not, looking into less expensive options, e.g. motorise quad pairs or limited mobility. Looking for lower cost options that will reduce beam time waste. Discussion of the system at LMU and their mounting process- a meeting is being set up for further talks. Rotation to be discussed on this meeting also- rotation drive needs to be designed.
Questions raised about scintillator for beam profile monitoring- SCAPA has a LANEX phosphor scintillator.
- Beam Set up:
Irregularities in BDSIM and python simulations discussed- potentially due to BDSIM using absolute momentum, will be explored in coming weeks.
- AOB:
Meeting proposed for wider & extended meeting with strathclyde radiobiologists. Proposed that this could be a long meeting/ half day to recap and get up to speed from all angles of the project. Polls sent out for availability.
