    v1 v2
    11111. Alternate Beamlines
    1212 - ELI proposal feedback
13  - Got rejected for several reasons but most are things we can deal with and the evaluators were generally positive and encouraged resubmission
14  - Next proposals for ELI have a deadline in October
     15   - Beamtime next year
16  - Ken checking whether ELIMED is part of that
17  - Calvin to make a planning document so we can list the challenges and fill out how we will deal with them
18   - Discuss with ELI instrumentation team to make acceptance as likely as possible
19  - Discussion on beam energy
20   - Marie and Rosh have done a gap analysis and found one looking at <10MeV protons
21   - Fear that focussing on lower energy will not appeal to ELI since they have the technology to reach 60MeV
22   - ELI also appears to have lower beam quality as you go to lower energy
23   - Jason has comparison at Clatterbridge for 60MeV and 28MeV
24   - Could suggest higher energies but also no clear indication that lower energy was a reason we got rejected since we did not mention beam energy in the original submission
    1325
    14262. BioPrep
    15  - Updates
27 - Ken and Josie did a review
28  - Ken showed a figure showing cell death and very little difference between laser-driven and conventional but also multi-pulse and single shots
29   - Aim should be to improve on this
30 - Rosh and Marie have done a gap analysis
31  - They need to get the cells from Birmingham to start doing tests on transwells and the carousel
32  - Rosh has started defrosting cells
33  - They have also started looking at clever cell dish designs
34  - Ken found one with RCF sandwiched in between that he will send over to them
35 - Transwells are made for certain sizes: 12mm or 24mm
36  - 12mm would make more sense for us
     37  - Requires at least 3 replicates
38  - Marie to test this with the x-ray irradiator
39  - Investigate if they get enough cells
40  - Smaller dish also means more beam to use for instrumentation
41  - Need a technical document on the transwells as well
42  - Marie to send specifications of the transwells to Tony.
43  - Send some to Birmingham so Tony (Emma) can test the transwells there as well.

48  - Asked but everyone been on holiday
49 - The self-attempts were not working too well
    2250 - SciFi
    23   - Updates
51  - Calvin collecting the camera equipment to test from QMUL
52  - Ken, Josie and Calvin to meet tomorrow to take this forward
    2453
    25545. Beamline Simulations
    26  - Updates
55 - Fatima has joined us who works at ELI-NP
56  - Going to help simulate ELI and Josie will try and reproduce her simulations
57 - Josie waiting on Ewan and Robbie to return to understand her simulations further and get some more information
58 - Josie has been talking to Hywel about the dipole designs
