• HT - busy commissioning carbon beam.
  • Finalised carbon beam spot sizes in research room (room 1).
  • Issue in BDSIM using carbon beams. WS will look into it.
  • Got good comparison with protons at 800MeV comparing BDSIM and beam profile measurements. 120MeV-400MeV/nucleon carbon measurements were way off.
  • May be issue with the physics options.
• Chris - Gabor lens update.
  • Paperwork for Radiation source nearly there.
  • Camera good but issues with getting it to work with the laptop.
  • Aim to have source installed next week.

  • Need input from Claire or Ruth on cliniac geometries.
  • IPAC stuff.
  • IBA development on dosimetry.

○ Comparing voxelised simulations with dosimetry measurements.

  • SciWire construction started.
  • Low-energy beam diagnostics workshop last week was a success, with some interesting talks and discussions and a tour of the Gabor lens and laser facility and a few posters.
  • Also in the middle of dealing with the paperwork for the testing with the Sr-90 source.
