- WS: has been working in interface between BDSIM and OPAL. Input interface is working. However, so far beam is not making a complete circuit of the ring and being extracted back into BDSIM. Work continues.
- HTL: Getting close to delivering particles from his SMILEI simulation to BDSIM. HTL and JPa beginning to work on re-optimisation of capture section.
- TSD: Continued improvement in understanding the original Gabor lens using VSIM. More energetically working on development of paper.
- CW (in absentia): is beginning to work on a design revision of the Gabor lens taking into account the lessons learnt with the first prototype/

Preparation by w/p identified in our THT proposal:
1 Outline Conceptual Design Report for the PoP biological-assessment facility
Preparation should include articulation of key USPs for LhARA and development of experimental simulation activity independent of the fate of the THT proposal.
2 Proton- and ion-acoustic imaging
Preparation should include development of simulation activity and development of proposal independent of the fate of the THT proposal.
3 Evaluation of the benefits of the initiative & optimisation of the R&D programme
Preparation should include development of first steps in the necessary programme now, independent of the fate of the THT proposal.
Notes:
- Need to get together with w/p leads to begin to develop the various sections and to work out the next concrete steps.
- Also need to initiate discussion with the key accelerator w/p leads to define precisely the 15 month programme that would be supported by STFC.

- In preparing to remind people of the meeting on Workshop on accelerator technology for particle therapy which had been planned for 11/12 November, KL noticed that it had been postponed to 07/08 December 2020. It is important that we engage with the rest of the community working in this area. So, attendance if possible would be great.
