  • Update from WS:
    • GPT being very slow.
    • Got a version of TraceWin
    • Gabor lens field map in BDSim
  • Update from JP
    • Update of magnet parameters circulated by email.
    • Discussion
      • requirement on delta_k/k can be relaxed if there's no need for slow extraction.
  • Coil configuration and construction - TJK
  • Update from MP:
    • Prelim studies on the RF cavity after the end station nozzle
    • Dipole and quad design in progress.

• Engineering - CH
  • Update to injection line layout.
  • Discussion on location of profile monitors.
  • CW: Are the stray fields from the correctors an issue?
    • JP: Quads are narrow so it should be OK
  • Had a meeting with FETS-FFA and magnet designers re building the magnet
  • JP: Magnet was made for the ion beta project at KURNS. Should look up what they did.
  • Need details of materials for bulk shielding calculations
    • Discussion re nozzle material.
      • Stainless is probably the favoured choice.
      • AK to ask Chris Densham for guidance on what materials to use.

  • Discussion on schedule for writing the report for March milestone.
    • Can refer to 12 month report and just provide updates in the milestone report.
